Wish for Rain

Looking out the window pane
Past the drools and drops
I know its raining hard outside
I just wish it would stop.

I have much to do today
The rain slows me down
If it would just go away
I could go outside and play.

It could come back at night
As I know we need the rain
While I dream my happy thoughts
Of playing once again.
